Shira Lyss-Loren

Shira is fueled by her passion for nature and people, building a career driving climate resilience for corporations alongside the communities and ecosystems they depend upon. Prior to pursuing her Master of Environmental Management at Yale, Shira worked at Conservation International (CI) on institutional climate mitigation and adaptation strategies as well as high-impact partnerships. During her time at CI, Shira worked closely with partners across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors to scale finance for, and implementation of, natural climate solutions to achieve a decarbonized and nature-positive future.

Shira is from Seattle, WA, and has lived in Missouri, D.C., and Valparaiso, Chile. Her love of nature stems from her childhood exploring the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges and sailing in the Puget Sound with her family. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Environmental Analysis from Washington University in St. Louis. Shira enjoys hiking, gluten-free baking, and ultimate frisbee!
