Elle Brunsdale
Elle is an Investment Associate at Greenbacker Capital where she invests in renewable energy and other sustainable infrastructure. Elle came to Greenbacker after working at D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments where she helped acquire and finance over 850 MW of utility-scale solar assets and close over $1 billion of tax equity and debt facilities. Elle also has experience: impact investing on the water/agriculture team at Encourage Capital; developing growth strategies related to carbon capture, microgrids, and biogas at Bloom Energy; driving sales and market entry at FiscalNote; and analyzing water and climate policy in state and federal government.
At Yale, Elle co-founded a blockchain for supply chain workshop series, conducted research on climate-related investments as a Fellow for the Kerry Initiative and for the Yale Investments Office, and was a leader of the SOM Business and Environment Club. She also served as a teaching assistant for Global Social Entrepreneurship-India (Prof. Sheldon), Data Science for Social Research (Prof. Farrell), Environmental Politics & Law (Prof. Wargo), and Ethical Decision Making in Public Leadership (Prof. Braverman).
Elle is a graduate of Yale College where she double majored in economics and environmental studies and wrote a thesis focused on water-banking. She also competed as a heptathlete on the Yale Varsity Track and Field Team. Elle grew up in Colorado and loves to explore wilderness, fly-fish, and play piano.
