Abiral Khatri

Abiral Khatri is a climate finance and energy transition professional, currently serving as Technical Expert for Green Finance Mobilization at PwC under the FCDO-funded Green Growth Nepal Programme. He has contributed to Nepal’s largest Green Climate Fund project on Clean Cooking Solutions, implemented by the Alternative Energy Promotion Center, benefiting over one million households.

Abiral has developed ESG and green bond frameworks for institutions such as the Dolma Impact Fund and Nabil Bank, co-authored a UN case study on hybrid solar systems in peacekeeping missions, and brings extensive experience in sustainable infrastructure financing and public-private partnerships from his tenure at Nepal Infrastructure Bank, where he served as the GCF focal point and led the bank’s accreditation process.

He also teaches as an adjunct faculty member at business schools in Nepal and holds dual master’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Renmin University of China, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and IIM Bangalore.
