Joe Indvik

I'm an entrepreneur and consultant focused on clean energy finance. My goal is to make financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy radically accessible, thereby driving tens of billions of dollars into these projects and decarbonizing our energy system. There's nothing I love more than waking up every day to work with amazing folks toward that goal.

I currently lead financing efforts for the Department of Energy's Better Buildings Initiative as a consultant with RE Tech Advisors, working with finance executives to get more building owners access to the capital they need for energy projects. I also run Rock Creek Consulting, an advisory firm that helps companies and non-profits roll out new clean energy products, services, and strategies to transform the market. In 2013, I co-founded Sparkfund, a startup that provides "as-a-service" financing for energy technologies. I was previously a consultant in the Climate Change and Sustainability practice at ICF International, where I worked with clients including Fortune 500s, federal agencies, universities, cities, non-profits, and the UN. While at Dartmouth, I helped set up a $1M green revolving fund. I now do free-of-charge work with students to help them on sustainability efforts at their own universities.
