Maria Jiang
Maria is an MEM/MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management and Yale School of the Environment with an interest in driving clean energy solutions and the acceleration of carbon pricing. Prior to graduate school, she worked as an energy supply chain consultant driving strategic initiatives through policy impact studies, M&A, category management, and strategic sourcing at over a dozen utilities across North America.
Maria graduated with honors from Cornell University with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management (Business) with a concentration in Environmental and Resource Economics and a minor in Environmental Science. During this time, she held various internships in U.S. carbon cap-and-trade, including at RGGI, the Environmental Defense Fund, and ICIS.
Maria has interned in Business Management for NextEra Energy Resources, Marathon Capital, and Philadelphia Green Capital. In school, she served as the co-host and producer of Pricing Nature, a carbon pricing podcast through CBEY and the Carbon Pricing Leadership Council at the World Bank, the co-president of SOM’s Energy Club and Asian American Pacific Islander Association, and a den parent for the YSE-SOM joint-degree community.
Outside of school and work, Maria enjoys working on and riding bikes, making homemade pasta, and climbing.
