Martin Waana-Ang

Martin’s practice areas span the disparate, yet connected fields of complex commercial disputes, international IP, cross-border transactions, digital trade & FinTech Law, employment law, energy regulation, international climate negotiation, international environmental law and human rights, and commercial arbitration.

Martin has advised both international and local clients on mergers and acquisitions, tax law, employment law, corporate commercial law advisory, energy law, immigration law and policy and Fintech law. He aims to offer innovative solutions to clients that address immediate legal concerns and create a strong foundation for long-term growth. He seeks to support his clients leverage legal frameworks to achieve compliance, reduce risk and capitalize on emerging opportunities by developing strategies that align with clients' values and business interest.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree with First Class Honors from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, where he was named valedictorian for being the overall best student. He also obtained a Professional Certificate from the Ghana School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Ghana as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Martin was awarded the John Mensah Sarbah Memorial Prize at the 2024 call to the Bar for being the overall best student for the Professional Law Course. Martin was also awarded the best student in Civil Procedure Award.
